Meet Precision EV, Acura's Vision for its First All-Electric SUV

Acura recently showcased its Precision EV concept SUV. The car was introduced to give people an insight as to what the design and functionality of this car will be like. It also lets people know what to expect as Acura makes its debut in the EV segment.

According to James Marchand, Assistant VP for Acura Canada, Precision Crafted Performance lies in the heart of every car they design, and this concept car showcases the commitment Acura puts towards redefining the electrified future for the automaker. It's an exciting step in a new direction, but Acura will still focus on delivering the best client experience, just like they've always done.
Elegance
The Acura Precision EV concept is inspired by elegance, artistry, and harmony. Its functionality and features resemble Italian powerboats, while its intense performance is thanks to the athletic stance and the expressive silhouette the exteriors boast of. The car features sharp lines and will come in a double Apex Blue shade with a matt finish.
What Does the Future Hold?
It's safe to say that the Acura Precision EV concept presents people with clear insight into what Acura has planned for the electric market. The brand's Executive Creative Director, Dave Marek, stated that Acura's Precision Crafted Performance design is a model expression of performance. He believes this concept should eventually be the North Star the brand follows to move forward to an exciting and electrified future.
Theatrical Lighting
The Acura Precision EV concept will feature a diamond pentagon grille illuminating through the electrified powertrain. It will feature lighting on the front and rear fascias and a chicane DRL signature (Particle Glitch) lighting design theme, which will feature throughout the car's exteriors, including the spokes of the 23-inch wheels.
Design
The Acura is crafted to look seamless and dynamic. It has a strong front fascia focusing on seamless illumination throughout the car. This vehicle will also feature premium, stimulating and performance-focused interiors. Acura plans to create an immersive experience to help engage the driver's senses.
The cockpit of this concept vehicle is inspired by an F1 race car. It features low-slung driving seats, a 2-grip yoke-style steering wheel, high-performance driver sidelines and a modern interior space. There are two drive modes. One is exhilarating and boosts performance. The other is the spiritual lounge mode which features an autonomous operation.
